CONTRACT Candidate Engagement Specialist

The Candidate Engagement Specialist (CES) is the first point of contact for applicants and candidates interested in career opportunities at Discount Tire. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless and engaging candidate experience by leveraging technology, automation, and strategic sourcing efforts. The CES partners closely with Regional Recruiters to achieve hiring targets, proactively source top talent, and enhance the overall candidate experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as an employer brand ambassador, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
• Conduct high-touch, high-volume calls, text messages, and other communication to candidates.
• Deliver personalized engagement during outreach, interviews, and follow up communication that enhances the overall candidate experience.
• Utilize automation and other tools to engage candidates promptly after application.
• Assess candidates based on skills, experience, and cultural fit to ensure quality hires.
• Work closely with Regional Recruiters and Store Operations teams to gain a deep understanding of staffing needs, job requirements, and other dependencies. Ensure alignment in recruiting efforts and candidate selection.
• Track and analyze candidate engagement metrics to improve outreach and sourcing effectiveness, as well as the overall hiring process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and/or Human Resources
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Familiarity with ATS and CRM tools (iCIMS preferred)
• Knowledge of automation and engagement tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Educational Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in business or HR is a plus.
