Distribution Center Facility Technician II

The Distribution Center Facility Technician II is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including forklift operation and material handling, while also managing the maintenance and upkeep of facility equipment and systems. This role ensures safety, efficiency, and compliance, while fostering a high-performing, team-oriented culture.

Salary Pay Range: $26.14-$37.43/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for team members; adhere to safety programs, procedures, and policies
• Conduct regular inspections and basic maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of conveyor systems and other automated equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and replacement of mechanical components (e.g., motors, drive chains, rollers, belts).
• Operate forklifts to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.
• Utilize RF equipment to scan and validate product for accuracy
• Support training for team members on equipment use and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize workflow and productivity.
• Monitor and manage maintenance budgets and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Analyze operational and maintenance data to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, procedures, and company policies.
• Lead by example, promoting a values-based, customer-centric, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification.
• 1+ years of experience in material handling, automation, maintenance, or distribution center operations.
• Experience with distribution center startups and preventative maintenance programs preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills (LEAN, Six Sigma a plus).
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks, standing, bending, and lifting required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.
