The AP Analyst troubleshoots and resolves accounts payable invoices, records and prepares payments. Addresses unresolved Goods-Receipt and Invoice-Receipt (GR/IR) matters. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Resolves billing documents that do not meet the auto-match criteria.
  • Reviews invoices for accuracy, special costs, discounts and billings terms.
  • Reviews and/or reconciles invoices to vendor statements.
  • Calculates deductions and paybacks as needed.
  • Troubleshoots and resolved GR/IR, including, but not limited to collecting outstanding credits due on returned merchandise and billing disputes.
  • Assists employees, vendors and customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures and services.
  • Works with vendors to collaborate and improve vendor compliance.
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements


  • This position requires a minimum of three years Accounts Payable experience, preferably with high volume Accounts Payable processing.
  • Experience with SAP or other accounting related software is required.
  • Proven analytical skills is required.
  • Proficient in alpha and numeric data entry by touch is required, 10-key by touch and a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, including skills in Word and Excel, is necessary.
  • This position also requires excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work within a team and serve as a trusted expert for assigned duties is necessary.
  • In addition, troubleshooting, organizational and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
  • Treating others with respect and upholding Company values is key.


Educational Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or GED. Additional college level accounting or math classes are beneficial.


Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.


Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime (more than forty hours per week) may be necessary.
