As a key addition to the RMOQ Leadership Team, reporting to the SVP of RMOQ, the Director of Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) will play a critical role in coordinating strategy, sustaining excellence, and nurturing culture, growth, and stewardship. The Director of Information Lifecycle Management will be responsible for overall enterprise-wide strategy, implementation, and compliance program standards to include compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies and procedures throughout the information life cycle.


The ideal candidate will have experience building, maintaining, and maturing effective Information Governance, Privacy Programs, and Lifecycle Management (RIM) programs and leading a cross-functional team of stakeholders. This individual must demonstrate a passion for Governance, Risk Management, Privacy, and Records & Information management.


This talented individual will work with cross-functional teams and be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to develop, implement, maintain, and mature a strategic, risk-based roadmap for the ILM component of our Integrated Risk Management Business Segment.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the ownership and accountability of Information Lifecycle Management, Information Governance, and Compliance reporting objectives.

• Assist with the development and maintenance of relevant governance frameworks and processes to meet business needs and align with the overall company’s goals and objectives.

• Ensure Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

• Facilitate multi-disciplinary strategic discussions with senior business and technology leaders utilizing strong, clear and concise communications skills

• Provide leadership for a multi-disciplinary delivery team to ensure successful implementation of key initiatives

• Provide project/program facilitation and oversight by facilitating agreement objectives, identifying success measures and resolving issues and removing roadblocks

• Partner with Information Security, IT and Business Leadership in the creation and execution of a roadmap that aligns with our Business Strategy

• Inspire trust and build strong, authentic, productive relationships within the organization and with key stakeholders.

• Effectively engage and collaborate with leadership across the organization to develop, define and build on innovative ideas and business priorities

• Evolve current ILM and GRC practices to better align with recent growth and ensure future scalability

• Partner with stakeholders to understand their needs, and use that knowledge and those relationships to drive effective prioritization and roadmaps for delivery



• Ability to influence and drive strategy, vision, direction, and prioritization on enterprise-wide projects and programs at a senior leadership level

• Manage initiatives from concept through to completion, including the development and presentation of a business case.

Project Management

• Provide vision and leadership regarding organizational design and resourcing of large, complex, and undefined enterprise-wide initiatives including all aspects of management from vision through execution.

• Socialize and manage a portfolio of projects in support of strategic objectives.

• Manage operational business impacts as well as technical components.



• Monitors and manages expenditures, ensuring that all financial targets are met, and examines any areas where budgets/expenditures vary from plan; assists with the definition and operation of effective financial controls and decision making.

• Manage enterprise-wide programs with multi-faceted financial models including internal and external stakeholders and complex contract negotiation.

• Participate in the annual expense and capital budgeting processes & cycles.


Vendor Management

• Provide leadership and guidance to external vendor partners to align with our program responsibilities, culture, and expectations.

Job Requirements


• 10 years of experience in enterprise-wide strategy, lifecycle management, implementation and compliance

• 5 years management experience

• Advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts of information governance, best practices and industry trends, including the Information Governance Book of Knowledge.

• Advanced knowledge of privacy regulations and records management laws, regulations, rules, policies, and procedures.

• Advanced knowledge of Records and Information program, operations, and structure.

• Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and skills.

• Advanced knowledge of business process improvement procedures, practices, and standards.

• Advanced analytical thinking skills.

• Advanced consulting skills.

• Advanced decision-making skills.

• Advanced influence skills.

• Advanced organization and prioritization skills.

• Proven ability to successfully lead and oversee critical projects and cross functional efforts

• Strong working knowledge and understanding of key concepts, digital applications, file formats and design limitations as well as knowledge of various governance and compliance, document management and collaboration solutions.


Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Key industry certifications. At least one of the following preferred: CIP, IGP, CRM, CIPP, CIPM


Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.


Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
