Under general supervision, the Forecast Analyst I generates the proper product forecasts, including but not limited to, tires, wheels, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS), Productive Supplies, for designated supplier(s), based on Company guidelines relying on experience and judgment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and forecasts product purchases and provides a 12-month rolling forecast to the Company's suppliers within specified production timelines.
  • Maintains forecast accuracy with a focus on Company strategies; identifies, executes and notifies stakeholders.
  • Basic analysis of corporate sales trends, by crossdock, supplier availability, backorders and customer fill rate; recommends action while keeping regional and Company strategies in mind.
  • Analysis of new article setup to ensure proper transition, exit or launch of product; completes new article component setup in replenishment systems, SAP and notifies Product Segment; monitors pre/post-launch performance.
  • Researches and prepares information and documentation for product launches, phase outs and marketing initiatives.
  • Identifies and collaborates with vendors to resolve product exceptions, production constraints and supply shortages.
  • Analyzes supplier inventory reporting to identify shortages to forecast at a production, company or warehouse level; requesting ETAs, transfers, and production increases appropriately.
  • Creates sales/metrics, forecasting and ad hoc reports.
  • Assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering basic questions related to Forecasting processes, procedures and services.
  • Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies.
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a minimum of three years progressive supply chain and/or inventory experience.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders, present and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing is necessary.
  • Replenishment system software or equivalent experience required.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, Bex Analyzer and MicroStrategy is required.
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Proven mathematical and analytical related experience is necessary.
  • This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to work successfully independently and within a team is necessary.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines and present a professional demeanor is essential.
  • Customer service skills, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude are essential.
  • In addition, organizational and problem solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.

Educational Requirements:

This position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.Additional college level classes in supply chain, business or related are beneficial.

Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

 Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime (more than forty hours per week) may be necessary
