Under general supervision, the OMNI Channel SEM/SEO Specialist is responsible for helping grow Discount Tire’s organic revenue and engagement across its web properties. Through means technical, content-based and through on and off-site optimization techniques. Analyzes trends in SEM / SEO, researches and studies emerging SEM / SEO tools and methods and recommends tools and methods to be used.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitors and actively reports on organic traffic, engagement and revenue.
Authors and optimizes content at scale.
Researches and executes local SEO strategies; experienced with Google My Business and Yext.
Audits web properties as needed for performance, site error and page index statuses. Is comfortable and experienced with multiple ecommerce domains that exceed 10,000 indexed pages across dozens of page category types.
Makes deductions and recommendations based on data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, other SAAS datasets.
Serves as a point of contact with outside SEO agencies and resources.
Functions as a resource for UX design recommendations around SEO best practice conformity, including content and imagery optimization techniques
Finds and researches technical opportunities, risks, and errors; makes detailed recommendations for developer/IT implementation.
Reports on organic traffic and organic revenue trends to teammates, supervisors and executives using appropriate documentation and presentation styles.
Performs robust competitive analyses and audits as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Experienced with requisite industry tools, including Google’s suite of SEO tools, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Data Studio, etc.
Has strong knowledge of creating and testing Structured Data.
Adept in content authoring and content management systems, local listing management, and is current on established and developing SEO best practices.
Experienced with QA and regression testing for SEO.
Uses content management systems to make and advise on on-page optimizations, including copy and content production and revision, metadata optimizations, code and structured data creation and implementation as needed.
Has specific experience with Adobe Experience Manager (or other equivalent major ecommerce CMS), WordPress.
Proven track record as a subject matter expert for outside teams with regard to SEO best practices and the respective impact each has on Discount Tire’s organic performance.
Proven track record of building relationships with outside sources with regard to linking strategies and content sourcing.
Functional experience with JIRA, Confluence, and drafting site defects a plus.
Experience with Single Page Applications/Progressive Web Apps a plus.
Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills
Intermediate level system(s) skills in SEO & Marketing
Required fluency (speak and write) in English

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience required
Additional college level public relations, marketing, or communication classes are beneficial. SEO certification such as Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ) certification is preferred.

Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.
