The Facility Operations Assistant Manager provides management and support for our corporate and regional facility operations. Plans, directs, and coordinates corporate and operational initiatives and activities required to preserve and maintain our real estate assets. Ensures physical and operating systems for all facilities in the region are maintained at the highest functioning level.

- Manages the department’s recruitment, hiring, training, employee development and performance management; makes compensation recommendations
- Analyzes and makes recommendations regarding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) performance to their direct manager
- Monitors and adjusts employee workloads and determines optimal staffing requirements; ensures team has necessary tools to successfully complete goals and objectives; researches and implements process improvements
- Ensures business requests are satisfied, manages project plans, and manages service quality
- Monitors department projects to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality level
- Ensures the highest level of Customer Delight by promoting and providing excellent customer service
- Ensures Company procedures are followed, including the tracking and publishing of metrics
- Works collaboratively across departments to identify and resolve risks, conflicts and challenges, ensuring successful resolution and identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities
- Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends, and strategies; brings forward solutions and serves as a Trusted Expert
- Participates in Company management initiatives such as: meetings, conferences, and committees
- Proficient using Microsoft suite of programs-word, excel, power point, project, etc…
- Has a successful track record of mastering and executing new software – iAuditor, Safety Culture, Tririga, etc…
- Teaches, coaches, mentors facility team
- Helps to navigate and execute corporate initiatives through the regional facility teams
- Supports preparation of corporate and regional facility budgets
- Supports the preparation of monthly Regional Facility Reports
- Prepares annual budgets
- Tracks budget to actual performance
- Supports decisions made by company leadership
- Designs, implements and manages preventative / predictive maintenance program
- Researches and identifies qualified vendors; obtains quotes and contracts ongoing facilities maintenance and projects; ensures work materials and equipment meets quality standards
- Ensures contractors works meets established quality standards
- Ensures work maintenance orders are completed accurate and timely
- Ensures physical facilities interior and exterior appearance meets company and city standards.
- Provides safety training; implements safety procedures and fosters a safety culture
- Ensures Company is in compliance with OSHA, ADA and TDLR standards
- Occasional travel is required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- This position requires a minimum of five years progressive facilities maintenance experience, preferably in a multi-location environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and development of employees is required.
- Proven experience communicating and coordinating activities with leadership and business functions is required.
- Ability to identify complex problems, review information to develop and evaluate options then implement solutions is necessary.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, while making timely and sound decisions is mandatory.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment, while prioritizing appropriately and remaining flexible to a changing environment is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to gain the respect and support of stakeholders are vital.
- Proven ability to motivate self and others is needed.
- This position requires excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
- The ability to work within a team and serve as a trusted expert is necessary.
- Troubleshooting, organizational and problem solving skills with a can-do attitude are essential.
- Proven ability to read blueprints, schematics, specifications, technical drawings is necessary.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, structural, mill works and plumbing systems is vital.
- A valid state driver’s license is required.
- Treating others with respect and upholding Company values is key.
Educational Requirements:
- This position requires a High School Diploma or General Education degree (GED).
- Certified Facilities Management Professional (FMP) preferred.
Work Days:
Normal work days are Monday through Saturday. Occasional Sundays may be necessary.
Work Hours:
Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
