Analytics & Optimization Strategist II

We are seeking a highly experienced and data-driven Analytics and Optimization Strategist Level II to conduct the development and execution of digital measurement across our digital touched customer journey and employee journey as well as business operations. This role is critical in driving data-informed decisions by identifying key indicators of web performance, marketing opportunities and digital optimization and ongoing performance measurements, and delivering actionable insights to drive the day-to-day business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Measurement Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive measurement frameworks aligned with business goals.
- Define KPIs, success metrics, and data collection strategies for websites and digital campaigns.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business objectives into analytics requirements.
- Analytics Implementation & Reporting
- Lead the configuration and maintenance of Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics.
- Design and manage tagging strategies using Tag Management Systems (e.g., Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager) and setup the tracking for customer faced website and employee faced point-of-sale system.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous QA and validation processes.
- Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze End-to-End customers' experience and employees' experience, including but not limited to (1) Digital: user behavior, traffic patterns, and conversion funnels to identify opportunities for optimization (2) beyond-Digital: communication touchpoints, product availability, operational efficiency, Etc.
- Analyzes data and identifies experimentation and testing opportunities, including website AB testing and store level operational testing; develops and executes test plans.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with UX, marketing, product, and engineering teams to support data-driven decision-making.
- Able to use best practice and solve some complex problems, uses independent judgement, strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
- Work directly with web developers, data engineers, vendors technical teams for implementation and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in business insights, data analytics and/or product analysis.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Extensive experience in measurement and analysis for website behavior as well as business trends.
- Experience in Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics. Understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, cookies, etc.) as they relate to analytics implementation.
- Proven track record of Tableau, Excel Pivot, or similar tools for data visualization and storytelling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office, including skills with Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint is necessary.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with A/B testing platforms (e.g., Adobe Target, Optimizely).
- Experience with multiple website analytics tools, such as Quantum Metrics and/or Content Square.
- Familiarity with Tag Management Systems (e.g., GTM, Adobe Data Collections) including setup and administration.
- Multiple coding languages, such as Python, Java, Etc.
- Experience in retail industry
- Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on digital analytics.
- Familiarity with customer journey analytics and attribution modeling.
- Experience with AI and ML
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, Psychology or related field, or equivalent experience. Master's degree or higher is a plus.
- Professional certifications are a plus.
Work Days:
Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.
Work Hours:
Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
