Business Systems Analyst II - Business Intelligence

We are responsible for driving the insights, recommendations, and developing the decision support tools that influence the strategic direction of the company.

Under general supervision, the Business Systems Analyst II analyzes software requirements, procedures and problems to automate new or enhance existing software applications/systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services; Solve complex problems; take a new perspective using existing solutions.Conduct user need analyses to establish requirements.Apply broad knowledge to Identify and resolve core problems.Plan, organize, and direct concurrent software design and implementation projects.Consider enterprise wide solutions and impact.Lead process modeling and translates requirements into design: Write business and technical requirements based on customers' needs under the guidance of more experienced Business Systems Analysts.
• Perform Quality Assurance peer reviews of requirement and specification documents.
• Electronically enter and track customer requests within the Company's tracking systems.
• Aid the User Documentation Team and/or senior department members in preparing, distributing and maintaining customer and troubleshooting documentation for applications.
• Leading meetings, conference calls and assists with training customers as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• This position requires a minimum of 3 years of business analysis experience.
• Attention to detail including validation of data and data sets.
• This position requires excellent communication, organizational, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Project management methodologies and practices.
• Experience with databases and analytical tools and techniques.
• Proficient computer and software knowledge in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred)
• Basic understanding of analytical methods (e.g. forecasting)
• Database & query experience in Microsoft Transact-SQL or Oracle PLSQL preferred
• Experience working in a data-rich environment
• Intermediate level computer experience, including skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, is necessary.
• Ability to work independently and in a team is vital. Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines and present a professional demeanor is essential. Proven ability to respond to different organizational situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude is necessary.
• Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values are key attributes. In addition, organizational and problem solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.

Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
