Business Systems Analyst II - New Store Openings

The Business Systems Analyst - New Store Openings serves as a key partner between IT, Store Operations, and responsible for ensuring business, operational, and technology readiness for new stores, refreshing technology, and store conversion to Full-Service locations. This role focuses on translating operational needs into clear requirements, tracking readiness milestones, and providing visibility to risks and dependencies that impact store openings.
The role works closely with New Store Coordinators, IT Store Experience, Operations, Construction, Real Estate, HR, and regional leadership to support consistent, scalable, and on‑time store launches. By leveraging data, process analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration, this role helps ensure new stores are fully enabled to operate successfully on Day One and beyond.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- New Store Program & Operational Readiness
- Support planning, execution, and opening of new store locations from pre‑construction through post‑opening stabilization.
- Partner with New Store Coordinators and IT Store Experience to identify, track, and validate operational and system readiness requirements.
- Monitor readiness across systems access, hardware, applications, operational processes, and reporting.
- Participate in go‑live readiness reviews and opening checkpoints to confirm launch criteria are met.
- Support post‑opening stabilization efforts and issue tracking.
- Business & Systems Analysis
- Identify gaps, risks, or inefficiencies in new store processes (e.g., access provisioning, onboarding, system enablement).
- Partner with stakeholders to drive resolution and ensure timely delivery of dependencies.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners supporting new store openings.
- Facilitate working sessions, requirement reviews, and status discussions with Operations, HR, IT, and Regional Leadership.
- Ensure integrated planning and alignment across multiple teams supporting store openings.
- Communicates status, risks, and impacts clearly to New Store Program leadership and stakeholders.
- Data, Reporting & Visibility
- Develop and maintain readiness tracking, dashboards, and reporting for new store openings.
- Analyze trends across multiple store launches to identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize data and performance metrics to support prioritization and leadership decision‑making.
- Continuous Improvement & Program Support
- Participate in post‑opening reviews to capture lessons learned and recommend process improvements.
- Contribute to the evolution of New Store Opening standards, playbooks, and documentation.
- Support the team and change management efforts related to new systems, tools, or processes impacting store openings.
- Promote consistency, scalability, and repeatability across high‑volume store openings.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
- Experience supporting cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced operational environment.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting retail, multi‑site operations, or new store openings.
- Familiarity with IT service management, access provisioning, or enterprise systems enablement.
- Experience with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet, Jira, or ServiceNow.
- Ability to manage multiple store openings simultaneously with fixed launch timelines.

Educational Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Work Days:
Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.
Work Hours:
Normal work hours are 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime (more than forty hours per week) may be necessary.
