With the forecasted shift from private vehicle ownership to fleets, Discount Tire is excited to be investing in the growth of our current B2B platform with the creation of a new sales Leadership role. The Director of Sales Force Effectiveness will be responsible for building and developing a regional and national sales team that focuses on large B2B fleet sales and sales operational excellence. This position will design and implement CRM (Sales Force) as well as lead the development of our local and regional sales team who will focus on large companies in the fleet management, car and tire manufacturing industries. Additionally, this position will be responsible for creating winning sales strategies that drives sustainable growth and customer loyalty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes strategic plans to achieve our sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Responsible for the continued adoption and full utilization of Salesforce CRM to drive disciplined sales behaviors throughout the segment and stores
  • Build and maintain strong, long lasting relationships with key decision makers in large businesses to grow the fleet segment
  • Build out Fleet case studies around total cost of ownership
  • Effectively communicate our value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Work cross functionally with other departments to hit deadlines
  • Work closely with VP of operations and other department leaders to deliver clear account expectations and ensure the stores execute
  • Help create a scalable blueprint for a regional sales force model
  • Hire, lead, train, coach and develop a local and regional sales force
  • Leverage existing and new technology to help accelerate the growth of company fleet business
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to visit customers, employees/Sales Force, and participate in industry events

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of leading a Sales Force
  • Proven track record of building sales teams and implementing winning sales strategies
  • Successfully ran a sales organization in excess of $100M
  • Experience with CRM tools, preferable Salesforce
  • Expert negotiating skills to all levels of an organization, building case studies and history of working with agreements. Acquisitions involvement is a plus
  • Ability to think outside the box, influence the Executive level and partner in strategic ways with Fleets to ensure a lower total cost of ownership is achieved
  • Expert level skills in Excel, Power Point, Word, and Sales Force CRM
  • Strong analytical skills including working knowledge of sales analytics and metrics

 

Education:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

Master’s degree preferred.

 

Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

 

Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
