IT Program Manager

The IT Program Manager is responsible for stewarding critical enterprise investments and driving the delivery of strategic and transformational change by providing leadership and direction to assigned Business Segment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides overall program leadership, guidance, and manage all aspects of a given program, including requirements gathering, project management deliverables, and implementation.
- Provides steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines.
- Provides Business Relationship Owners with assistance in forecasting activities on initiatives prior to the Research stage and a Project Manager being assigned.
- Proactively sets performance expectations and helps project managers and manages expectations of delivery and requirements, yielding consistent results.
- Manage the configuration of the Point-of-Sale system for new stores.
- Manage application-level support for Full Service stores.
- On-site product assessment at Full Service locations including network, software and hardware assessment for new and existing locations
- Provides on boarding/Coaching/Mentoring and Support of project managers within the program
- Provides technical expertise in planning, execution, and leadership of program, projects, and initiatives
- Maintains excellent relationships with all levels of the matrix organization
- Program Manager will need to continue to manage some projects and perform all the duties of a Project Manager when needed.
- Reviews budget variances and scope change requests and participates in the budget-resolution process.
- Promotes collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholders
- Leads cross-functional meetings and fosters teamwork; drives escalation and resolution of issues. Also participates in all project Leadership meetings for projects within the program.
- Addresses escalated resourcing issues with project manager and resource manager, as needed.
- Provides on boarding/Coaching/Mentoring and Support of project managers within the program
- Provides technical expertise in planning, execution, and leadership of program, projects, and initiatives
- Maintains excellent relationships with all levels of the matrix organization
- Program Manager will need to continue to manage some projects and perform all the duties of a Project Manager when needed.
- Ensures Discount Tires procurement and sourcing procedures are followed.
- Participates in Business Segments road-mapping activities.
- Manages program level risks, interdependencies, contingency plans and ensures defined methodology is followed through all stages of the project
- Accountable for the delivery of projects within the program.
- Provides department management feedback on program team member(s) performance.
- Co-ownership of Sponsor/Stakeholder Engagement Training.
- Provides Program/Project Management consulting services to other areas as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to the recruiting processes.
- Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- This position requires a minimum of eight years progressive experience in Project and Program Management. Including managing large-scale complex projects.
- Experience in data analytics required.
- Strong subject matter expertise using and supporting Vast On Line (VOL) required
- Extensive experience providing user support/training in VOL required
- Strong experience in converting Full Automotive Service locations to VOL required
- Must have demonstrated leadership ability, business acumen, and industry knowledge.
- Proven ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple sites.
- Adept at helping team members harness and develop strengths in pursuit of successful program outcomes.
- Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change.

Education Requirements:
This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Project Management, Information Technology, Retail, Business Administration, or related field.
Work Days:
Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.
Work Hours:
Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
