Under general direction, the Learning Systems Administrator II develops, implements, updates and maintains the Learning Management System (LMS).

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day LMS support; collaborates with Hosting Vendor
  • Researches, plans, coordinates, tests, and implements systems enhancements
  • Provides complex system and security administration, end user technical support and problem solving, process flow documentation and process change requests
  • Reviews consultant engagements
  • Creates new and modifies existing complex configuration/reports to gather and report data
  • Troubleshoots moderately complex customer and system issues including, but not limited to, error messages, login difficulties, access denials, data issues and process failures
  • Develops, updates and modifies tables to ensure data integrity and system stability, including but not limited to, security and forms tables
  • Provides progress reports to inform management of project status
  • Maintains and updates processes for transfer data between LMS and HRIS System
  • Researches organizational needs for LMS implementation or upgrades in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Gathers and documents business requirements and specifications in collaboration with stakeholders; completes testing when IT resources are utilized in collaboration with QA Analysts
  • Reviews, researches and implements updates and fixes for the LMS
  • Develops and modifies reports for management and end users
  • Prepares training and documentation materials; collaborates with training group; facilitates user training
  • Coaches LMS Administrator I
  • Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies
  • Assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to LMS processes, procedures and services
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a minimum of three years of relational database experience.
  • LMS experience required.
  • Instructional Design experience required.
  • Experience with HRIS integrations is preferred.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle is needed.
  • Advanced level computer experience, including skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, is necessary.
  • Proven knowledge of relational databases is required.
  • Ability to identify problems, review information to develop and evaluate options then implement solutions is essential.
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization is required.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical language is essential.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently is essential.
  • Customer service skills are essential, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude.
  • In addition, troubleshooting, organizational and problem solving skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
  • Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values are key attributes.

 

Educational Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in information technology, business or related field or equivalent experience.

 

Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

 

Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Occasional overtime (more than forty hours per week) may be necessary.
