Under direct supervision, the Mailroom Clerk tracks, receives routes and ships various types of correspondence and packages.



  • Receives, sorts, and delivers all incoming mail, packages, regional dispatch, inter-company mail and office supplies
  • Processes out going package requests utilizing FedEx and UPS including high volume batch processing
  • Compiles and organizes shipping reports and records
  • Tracks outgoing packages
  • Makes deliveries and pick-ups to off-site locations such as Post Office, FedEx, UPS, as well as company bank deposit runs
  • Processes outgoing mail, Certified, Priority, Express, Indicia mailings
  • Performs physical inventory of copy paper, toner, water and various office supplies
  • Processes folding / inserting job requests
  • Researches lost / damaged product with carrier vendors
  • Maintains assigned training guides and data bases
  • Sets-up and delivers catering events upon request
  • Submits routine building service / repair requests
  • Assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to procedures and services
  • Maintains monthly departmental cash drawers / funds
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • Minimum of 1 year of mailroom and/or experience with shipping and receiving, postage meters and folder inserter machines are preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including skills with Word and Excel are required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Works independently and in a team multi-tasking environment
  • Completes work accurately and consistently meets deadlines
  • Customer service skills, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a professional demeanor are essential
  • Maintains confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding company values are key attributes


Educational Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or GED.  Valid Arizona Driver License and proof of insurance is required


Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday.  Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.


Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 7:30 to 4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. scheduled rotation. Occasional overtime (more than forty hours per week) may be necessary.
