Senior Business Analytics Specialist

The Senior Business Analytics Specialist serves as a strategic partner by conducting comprehensive statistical analyses and preparing detailed reports to evaluate business performance, generate actionable insights, and recommend improvements. This role is accountable for developing and managing platforms that provide advanced cost analytics, vendor pricing intelligence, and supply chain economic insights. Additionally, the position facilitates data-driven decision-making processes related to sourcing, vendor negotiations, and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understands the decision-making process, workflows, business, and information needs of account managers and senior leadership
• Interfaces with account managers and cross-functional teams to understand their information needs and identify ways to visualize and present information in a user-friendly manner
• Maintains the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data (data integrity & cleaning), thereby facilitating informed and dependable decision-making
• Develop analytical strategies to solve business problems by understanding the business problems, identifying relevant data, gathering and summarizing data meaningfully, and applying appropriate statistical analysis
• Proactively mines data from various systems to identify trends and patterns and generates insights for business units and senior leadership
• Translates business needs into analytics and reporting requirements thus producing actionable insights and recommendations that increase efficiency and improve decision-making
• Leads collaboration among cross-functional teams for targeted vendor initiatives
• Provides analytical support, best practices, conducts research, reviews and helps evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives
• Transforms complex data into easy-to-follow reporting through graphing, charts, and dashboards
• Analyzes current metrics and reporting, identifies gaps, and works with leadership to create and improve metrics
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• This position requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement analytics, cost modeling, data structures or related field
• Familiar with data governance and data quality management
• Proficiency in procurement or supply chain analytics, preferably within a complex or multi-vendor setting
• Worked closely with executives, managers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations that informed strategic decision-making
• Proven ability to create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that clearly communicate insights and findings to both internal and external stakeholders
• Skills
• Advanced experience utilizing Excel, Power BI, and/or Tableau for dashboards and cost analysis, in addition to data manipulation, and modeling
• Understanding of AI and machine learning model principles, including training, validation, and optimizing data
• Proficient experience with SQL and Python
• Ability to identify patterns, correlations, and trends from data that can provide insights into business operations, customer behavior, or market dynamics

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
• Professional certifications are a plus.

Work Days

Normal workdays are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

Work Hours

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
