Under minimal supervision, the Senior Functional Analyst - Retail ensures business value is delivered in accordance with business objectives by providing expertise in SAP IS Retail MM (Materials Management), LE (Logistics Execution), and LO (Logistics General), as well as some SD (Sales & Distribution) modules and integration points.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research, recommend and develop functional solutions for complex problems to drive desired business results.
  • Identify, evaluate and develop options for the enhancement of transactional processes in SAP and across the enterprise
  • Ensure the successful implementation and ongoing effectiveness of processes.
  • Lead the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of the SAP IS Retail MM (Materials Management), LE (Logistics Execution), and LO (Logistics General) processes in the SAP system; take into consideration integration points and end-to-end business processes
  • Ensure business requirements specifications for solutions are documented to meet department objectives
  • Ensure solution options are thoroughly vetted with stakeholders; ensures chosen options documented to standards, including, but not limited to, Business Process Design (BPD). Document, Functional Specifications (F-Specs), End User System Procedures, End-to-end Business Process flows, User Stories, Testing Scripts and Scenarios; provides expert advice in determining a best practice approach in deploying components
  • Ensure enhanced and new solutions are designed and developed, including consideration of capacity, limitation and operations times; collaborate with IT resources
  • Ensure enhanced and new solutions are designed and developed, including consideration of user impact, capabilities, limitation and adoption; collaborate with business process owners and Subject Matter Experts (SME)
  • Ensure SAP IS Retail MM, LE, and LO modules are configured, maintained and deployed; provides oversight to the development and execution of test scripts and scenarios
  • Serve as a Retail/Supply Chain SME and trusted advisor; participates in related projects
  • Ensure testing for system updates and user acceptance testing; ensure end-to-end processes are complete and functioning to meet objectives in collaboration with the test management team
  • Ensure adherence to Retail and Enterprise best practices and ensures business value is delivered in accordance with business objectives; ensure proposed solutions are considered based on the Company's current and possible future investments in technology
  • Provide level three support by troubleshooting end user and system issues; identifies root cause; recommends corrective actions
  • Ensure instructional materials are accurate; provide subject matter expertise and support for end user training delivery
  • Develop SAP IS Retail MM, LE, and LO knowledge/competency in super users and subject matter experts throughout the business
  • Mentor and train functional analysts
  • Stay current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies
  • Assist employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to retail Materials Management processes, procedures and services
  • Complete work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires a minimum five years of SAP configuration and implementation experience. Corporate retail experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP Retail solutions is necessary.
  • Experience in Supply Chain processes such as Forecasting, Replenishment, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Logistics, Sourcing and Procurement
  • Knowledge of the key integration points with SAP modules and key design implications is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Solution Manager and best practices as applied to design and delivery of solution is necessary.
  • Advanced level computer experience, including skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio is necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills and initiative to improve processes is crucial.
  • Proven ability to identify complex problems, review information to develop and evaluate options then implement solutions is essential; uses Continuous Strategic Improvement thinking and methodology; serves as an escalation point.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate technical ideas to a non-technical audience both verbally and in writing is necessary.
  • Ability to coach end-users is required. Proven ability to motivate self and others is necessary. The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently is essential.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across the Company including the ability to manage and respond to different organizational situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude is essential.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday.  Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Occasional overtime (more than forty hours per week) may be necessary.
