Senior Learning Management System Administrator

Under minimal supervision, the Senior Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator who will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and delivery of learning technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Configure, customize, and test the learning system to include system settings, user management, permissions, automated workflows, course assignments, integrations with other systems, and reporting.
  • Upload, test, maintain, and audit learning content and integrations to include self-paced modules, videos, documents, programs, and other assets.
  • Maintain integrations and data feeds between the LMS and other organizational systems.
  • Research, configure, and test system enhancements and vendor updates.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity across organizational systems, as well as ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with corporate learning team on how to best deliver learning assets in the system by making recommendations for packaging content that ensures the best learner experience.
  • Participate in strategic planning for continued expansion and development of system capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements to identify needed functionality and system enhancements for delivery of innovative solutions.
  • Work with vendors on complex learning system requirements and issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer and vendor-related system issues to include error messages, login difficulties, data issues, and process failures.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on system issues to identify and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and provide training to system admins to ensure individuals understand how to effectively use the learning system.
  • Be a trusted expert on learning system functionality to assist employees, vendors, and other customers by answering questions related to complex learning system processes, procedures, and services.
  • Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends, and strategies.
  • Mentor, coach, and train LMS Administrator I and II.
  • Continually evaluate processes to look for opportunities to implement efficiencies and eliminate manual processes.
  • Complete work in a timely and accurate manner, while providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a minimum of five years progressive experience in administering a Learning Management System (LMS) to include out-of-the-box features and customization capabilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with system integrations, SCORM, and AICC is required.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors Learning or Skillsoft Percipio is preferred.
  • Proven ability in packaging learning to provide the best learner experience is required.
  • Possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues, adjust to changing requirements, and implement effective solutions is essential.
  • Skilled in managing project delivery timelines, meeting deadlines, and establishing and communicating clear expectations for stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present information in a concise and easily comprehensible manner, both verbally and written, across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, work well independently, and in a team is vital.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory are preferred.
  • Experience in delivering projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Educational Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
