The Senior Motion Designer ensures the content is created, developed and finished according to Company standards and industry best practices; guides Creative Team in Motion Design best practices to meet or exceed customer expectations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the timely and accurate production and design of video content, including but not limited to, advertising, web content, social media, digital signage and OMNI channel internal presentations.
  • Leads the production process in developing spectacular creative for customers and internal audiences. Includes pre-production planning, scripting, and post-production editing of content, including audio editing and creating digital effects.
  • Makes recommendations and leads the team. Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) in all situations related to motion design and style. May act as a trainer and mentor to other team members.
  • Ensures concepts meet specifications and communicates marketing objectives.
  • Works closely with marketing staff and creative team; works in collaboration with Design Principals, Assistant Manager and Creative Director.
  • Excels at motion, color, typography, composition and imagery, and animation of 2 and 3 dimensional images.
  • Takes on a leadership position within the department, will maintain workflow and processes; must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Researches and recommends vendors for creative resources not held in-house.
  • Uses visual effects, animation and other motion design techniques to bring life to projects.
  • Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies.
  • Assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to the design processes, video production procedures and services.
  • Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • This position requires a minimum of 5 years progressive graphic design and video production experience in an advertising environment.
  • Corporate retail experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated detail-oriented ability with strong production and design skills is necessary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, including skills with Word and PowerPoint is necessary.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe CC including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and After Effects required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of conceptualization, color, typography, and composition graphic design practices is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing is necessary.
  • The ability to work within a team and serve as a trusted expert for assigned duties is necessary.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently is essential.
  • In addition, troubleshooting and organizational skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
  • Customer service skills including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude is essential.
  • Proven ability to motivate self and others is necessary.


Educational Requirements:

This position requires Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Video Production or equivalent industry experience.


Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.


Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
