The Technical Analyst I is responsible for installing, modifying and fixing computer hardware and software problems and also providing technical assistance to the Company’s Corporate office, Regional offices and stores.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installs approved software packages onto the Company’s computers.
  • Installs or assists personnel in installation of hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives on user's premises.
  • Provides enhancements, maintenance development and integration of software and hardware.
  • Presents new or additional information regarding software and hardware.
  • Responds to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software and operator problems.
  • Provides updates, status and completion information to help desk and manager, via voice mail, pager, e-mail or in-person communication.
  • Performs problem research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems.
  • Handles escalated calls from the Help Desk.
  • Creates documentation for internal support teams.
  • Adheres to guidelines and procedures for delivering quality solutions which are defect-free, meet Company standards and customer requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • This position requires two to four years of related information technology experience with an advanced knowledge of the Windows operating system, Microsoft Office products and Active Directory.
  • Experience with LANDesk is desired with an understanding of creating software distribution packages, running queries and reports.
  • Knowledge of VMWare is also desired.
  • A minimum typing speed of 35 wpm is required.
  • This position requires excellent communication, organizational, customer service and problem solving skills.
  • In addition, this position must be able to handle multiple projects and work successfully within strict deadlines.

 

Educational Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or GED. A degree in Computer Information Systems is preferred.

 



Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

 

Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime (more than forty hours per week) may be necessary.
