Job Description

General Description:

The Warehouse Associate receives, unloads, stores, and picks/pulls tires, wheels, hardware, and other productive supplies. Mounts, balances, inspects, packages, and ships wheels, tires, and equipment within the Warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reads work orders, shipping orders, invoices, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Unloads, sorts and places tires, wheels, and equipment on racks, pallets, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Marks and tags wheels, tires, and equipment with identifying information.
  • Records the amount of wheels, tires and equipment received or distributed.
  • Loads and unloads freight trucks.
  • Mounts and balances wheel and tire packages.
  • Inspects, packages, and ships wheels, tires, and store supplies.
  • Maintains Warehouse equipment and cleanliness/organization of the Warehouse and surrounding property.
  • Uses computer system to find orders and maintain inventory and records.
  • Assists internal and external customers in person, by phone and via email.
  • Maintains the workflow and direction of work traffic in area of operation.
  • Assists Manager and Senior Warehouse team with projects as needed.
  • Attends on-going training exercises within the Warehouse.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must be capable of understanding both written and verbal instructions and possess the ability to learn, as well as have the comprehension needed to read and understand tire labels and numbers.
  • Basic level computer experience is necessary.
  • Basic data entry and typing skills are needed.
  • Must possess sufficient mechanical abilities to remove and replace wheels and balance tire/wheel assemblies as well as operate the machines and tools related to such job activities.
  • This position also requires excellent communication, organizational, detail oriented and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently is essential.
  • The ability to listen, analyze and seek out accurate information is necessary.
  • Customer service skills including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude is essential.
  • Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values is key.
